I was interviewed by Steve Austin on ABC 612 Brisbane about big data and digital rights, sparked by the now-classic “Amazing mind reader reveals his “gift”” advertisement by http://safeinternetbanking.be.
I reiterated the point that I have made in several interviews and blog posts that Australians – indeed citizens of all nations – need to be insisting upon positive digital rights: rights to your data, rights to data transparency, rights to surveillance oversight, mandatory data breach notification, etc.
